Liwet Asep Stroberi Kadungora

A cluster of giant bright-red strawberry buildings with yellow seeds and green leafy tops sits on a grassy mound under a clear blue sky, creating one of the most playfully surreal and kidcore liminal scenes in West Java. Liwet Asep Stroberi Kadungora is a branch of the popular Sundanese restaurant chain known for traditional nasi liwet. But what makes this particular location stand out, are the oversized strawberry-shaped structures that serve as whimsical architectural features within the complex.
The giant red domes feel like something lifted straight from a childhood storybook or fever dream. Surrounded by tropical greenery and landscaped lawns, cheerful yet somewhat unnerving, the scene becomes especially liminal and surreal when the area is quiet, as if you’ve stepped back into childhood, when everything seemed bigger and more cartoonish.
