Built inside a former china clay pit, the Eden Project’s massive hexagonal biomes house rainforest and Mediterranean environments under vast plastic domes. The combination of futuristic transparent architecture, a controlled climate, elevated walkways, and dense vegetation produces an unusual feeling of being inside a carefully curated, optimistic future. Quieter periods (especially mid-week or later in the day) enhance the suspended, slightly surreal atmosphere; almost like if the garden of Eden was made in the y2k.
