One of the most frequently cited real-world examples of Frutiger Aero. The mid-2000s interior featured bubble motifs, curved glass, soft aquatic blue gradients and a light, airy feel that perfectly captured the era’s optimistic tech-meets-nature aesthetic. Even in photographs it still radiates that distinctive Helvetica Aqua atmosphere. Designed by dan pearlman and opened around 2004–2005 on Marienplatz, the two-level flagship store was conceived as an immersive “intelligent world” of media, light and interactive elements. Sadly, the original design no longer exists, the space has since been fully renovated into a modern O2 Live Store, but it remains one of the purest documented examples of the style in retail architecture.
