A striking modern structure of glass and futuristic forms set on the waterfront. When less crowded, the light-filled spaces feel suspended and rendered, like an optimistic architectural vision reminiscent of the Frutiger Aero aesthetic. Designed by Santiago Calatrava and opened in 2015, the museum explores sustainability, climate and possible futures through immersive multimedia exhibitions. The long, dramatic, sharp white form and extensive glazing create a strong sense of openness and transition between the city and the bay.
Key features include:
- Dramatic structural design
- Light-filled, futuristic interiors
- Strong nature-meets-technology appearance and atmosphere
